From the Veil to the Glory: The Ministry of the Spirit

2 Corinthians 3:7-18

3
Chapter 3
7 But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came to be in glory, so that the sons of Israel could not gaze at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, the one being rendered inactive, 8 How much more will the ministry of the Spirit be in glory? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory. 10 For indeed, that which has been glorified has not been glorified in this respect, because of the glory that surpasses. 11 For if the one being rendered powerless through glory, much more the one remaining in glory. 12 Having therefore such hope, we use much openness. 13 and not as Moses, who placed a veil on his face, so that the sons of Israel might not gaze intently at the end of the one being rendered powerless. 14 But their minds were hardened. For until the present day the same veil remains upon the public reading of the old covenant, not being unveiled, because in Christ it is nullified. 15 But until today, whenever Moses is being read, a veil lies upon their heart. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord the Spirit.
